What began with a curiosity of honey bees, turned into a deep love and appreciation of everything BEE!

Our Journey from Hive to Home

Elise & Dennis Conrad’s
enthusiasm for beekeeping grew from a hobby of several years to their own beekeeping enterprise.
They have been operating Bee West Apiary LLC beekeeping business in Bumpass, VA since 2016.
Until 2021, Bee West Apiary offered honey bee nucs, hive service, bee pest treatment, queens, wax, honey extraction, bottling/labeling, and of course delicious honey. Demand for larger amounts of local honey forced the team to focus on honey production only and the Bumpass Honey Works label was formed. The Bee West team manages 100 hives with 15 locations across Louisa & Hanover Counties and still growing. On site, Bee West proudly owns it’s own state inspected honey processing facility and has added a product line of flavor infused creamed honeys to Bumpass Honey Works collection of offerings.
